Elected to the Thirtieth Parliament for Nedlands at the by-election on 13 March 1982 held to fill the vacancy consequent upon the resignation of his father, Hon. Sir Charles Walter Michael Court. Re-elected 1983, 1986, 1989, 1993, 1996, 2001. Resigned 27 April 2001.
